Our Story

NuLife Behavioral Health began with a simple conversation. Founders Alex Zeiger and Sam Glick started NuLife Behavioral Health after connecting over the way that their professions, pharmacy and psychology, had been impacted by substance abuse and mental health issues.

We’re here to help those in Massachusetts and beyond find a new way of life. Although not everyone can spend 30–90 days in treatment, we’ve made effective outpatient treatment more accessible than ever. We’re meeting the need for treatment through personalized, holistic treatment plans in a warm, welcoming environment. We know the toll that these disorders can take on everyday life and we’ve tailored our programs to allow you to continue living at home while you recover.

The NuLife Behavioral Health Mission

We believe that those with substance use and mental health disorders can reach a place of long-term, meaningful recovery. Our mission is to assist and support individuals and families by treating substance use and mental health in new and innovative ways and to empower clients to take accountability for their recovery.

Our Vision

At NuLife Behavioral Health, we believe that recovery is more than just abstinence from drugs and alcohol. Recovery enables one to enjoy life without drinking or using and to live a meaningful life. Those actively participating in drug and alcohol use are cut off from their families, communities, and even their physical selves. In response, treatment at NuLife Behavioral Health is geared towards integration and connection.

Mental health disorders can be debilitating and interfere with individuals’ abilities to live life on life’s terms. At NuLife Behavioral Health, we recognize the value of a holistic approach to healing. Our program offers support for the mind, body, and spirit because we know that mental health disorders aren’t just in the mind—they impact the whole person.

We utilize evidence-based approaches such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) in conjunction with holistic practices like yoga and meditation to help each client find relief from the chronic stress and trauma associated with addiction and mental health disorders. Only then will they be able to heal, reconnect with family and friends, and discover the things that afford a sense of well-being, meaning, and purpose.

Our Treatment Programs

NuLife Behavioral Health operates outpatient treatment centers, which means that our clients live at home while receiving treatment. This allows them to continue working, going to school, and participating in other activities while they recover.

Partial Hospitalization Program

Our partial hospitalization program (PHP) is designed for individuals who need more support than what traditional outpatient treatment can provide but do not require the level of care provided in an inpatient setting.

Intensive Outpatient Program

Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) is for those who have completed an inpatient or PHP program and need a less intense level of care. It is also appropriate for those who have not yet been to treatment but do not require the intensity of PHP.

Outpatient Treatment

Our outpatient program provides ongoing support for those who have completed an IOP or for those whose level of care does not require IOP. You’ll continue to build healthy coping skills and develop a support system to maintain your progress.
